Do I have any regrets in Medicine?

yes and no. Yes because it means I will be unable to live out to the maximum happiness potential as a woman, a girlfriend, a wife (sort of like IUGR haha) Yes because my world has become so limited now ... to the areas of medical practice, which drains every single ATP i have in my system so much so that when I get home I just want to collapse. Yes because I make decisions which when I look back sometimes, it only makes me feel like the most horrible person on earth. Yes because when the time comes I don't know if I can afford to continue on serving those in need, or making good clinical judgement all things given. Yes because I will lose many friends who will eventually evolve into people who only need me for one reason. Yes because one small slip over the wrong nerve could cause him excruciating pain, it leaves almost no space for mistakes. Yes because this could one day be the death of me.

Yet it has been an awesome journey so far. I don't think any other profession could make me appreciate money any more than this or the ability to put a smile on people's faces; or knowing that regardless of how ugly it sounds they really do come hand in hand. I look at people and I'd like to think that I see more to what they project, I learn how to read the invisible tangents in the air . I'd like to talk to the uncle and address his doubts (to my capability) whatever that has been causing him sleepless nights. I met an amazing guy who has helped me tackle emotions that I've never known existed. I do believe that if it wasn't for medicine then our courses might never have collided again. It has taught me far more than I've ever learned in the first 17 years of my life. The stumbles and triumphs has shaped me into this neurotic fella I am today, who'd cry at a grandmothers complains and who'd yell at patients relatives. I've got a long journey ahead, so long that to be honest, I don't really see the light at the end of the tunnel. But it doesn't mean that I'll stop moving onwards.

Because it is the only route I have.

I have attempted (yet, again) to kick start a cooking habit. no doubt it probably had something to do with the other half being back but heck, it's way past time now isn't it?

So yes, today I attempted, no wait I actually cooked up a healthy meal. well, healthy because there were stuffs from all the food classes there (usually it's just a tiny problem cause i refuse to include residents of the leaf village.. or the carbo village... or the fat; ok lets stop there)
but guess who ended up mucking my great reunion attempt?

dear mr OIL.

UGH.it appears that my first lesson this year is to condition myself to the presence of unhealthiness; Starting with actually adding oil into the pan.

bright side is- at least there's virtually nothing stuck to the bottom of the grey thing.

'tis tough and winding, this task of being a woman. (who knows how to cook)

Heck yeah im terrified of cooking! bleh
Hey Peeps!

Righto! So, this is a new blog of mine, that I decided to start albeit 2 years a bit too late. Okay, maybe it would have been a bit better to have started one the moment I got to Dublin, instead of when I'm about to leave, but hey, better late than never right. (note the lack of a question mark =D)

I actually didn't know what the first post would be about, besides saying Hi but Jon suggested writing about the few things;

1. How did I get to this template?
- Well I was reading through an ex-college-mate's blog and I realized that her layout was very nice. So gatal tangan as I was, I went and click on the designer la, and from there, linked, linked, and linked again till I got to this site. Pretty cool layouts I must say, a lot of them were originally meant for wordpress, but I'm not complaining :P

2. So why did I decided to blog, why now?
- Better late than never. :P
- I have this tinnnnnyyy feeling that when I start clinicals, I'm going to need a legal/safe/place where ppl will go aww so sad lah u *pat pats* place to rant :P
- It's a good way to update faraway friends (like my roomate :D) sans facebook.
- oh, and maybe my dad would stop dropping hints about wanting me to start a blog too. lol

3. What I wanna blog about?
- Probably everyday happenings. Or weekly... uhhh make it monthly lah.

To be honest, I kinda suck at blogging. When I do, I'm either super emo, super happy (the rare occasions) or super stoned.hahaha -______-"

What an intro huh.

Apparently I type too much too, aka lecehnya. So I hope this blog will show more short-but-to-the-point entries as well as improvements in my diction la, punctuation la, grammar la, referencing la...oops, referencing? Referencing is only for stupid formal articles ugh. which reminds me I still have a presentation to prepare (okay it's only 5 slides BUT STILL?!?!?!<-- very stressed here) .

Thanks for reading,
Ciao.

Jo
