What I learned:
- It's really not easy planning a retreat with 3 people and a fixed budget
- but it's do-able
- God works in wonderous ways
- From having an impression of only wanting to sleep
- to knowing people actually went there for a reason
- be it to rest, to know people, or to find God again
- So it's really never all about you.
- To know that we always have choices
- And that our choices will independently have consequences
- that the Bible provides principles, not instructions per se
- To know that we all need rest
- And there are other things out there than the rigidness of quiet time, prayers and bible reading
- Pitstops, sea meditations...
- Know yourself before you try to do anything more than that
- cried buckets in front of the head of medicine
- Realized many facts about the way things in life at the moment
- not happy about that
- wondering if there was anything that could be done about it
- yes, as we always have choices
- but being so inconsistent
- I want to make decisions that will stick
To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
